- 6 Tbsp canned chickpea liquid (also known as aquafaba)
- 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
- 2-3 cups of powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

preparation
step 1 Add the aquafaba and cream of tartar into a bowl. Using a stand or hand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment, mix until it turns foamy. Add in 2 cups of the powdered sugar. Mix until the powdered sugar is fully incorporated.
step 2 Check the consistency. If you want the icing to be thicker, slowly add in a few spoonfuls of the remaining powdered sugar until you get the desired consistency. Mix in the vanilla extract.
step 3 If desired, use natural plant based food coloring to make different icing colors. Enjoy!
