preparation
step 1 Line baking sheet with parchment paper and preheat your oven to 425° Fahrenheit.
step 2 Unroll your Puff Pastry sheets on the included parchment paper. Transfer one Puff Pastry sheet on top of the other so they are stacked.
step 3 Using a large circular item (i.e. bowl), cut a large circle out of the Puff Pastry sheets. Remove excess and transfer one Puff Pastry circle to your baking sheet.
step 4 Using a spoon, spread a thin layer of raspberry jam onto the first Puff Pastry circle on your baking sheet.
step 5 Place your second Puff Pastry sheet on top of the raspberry jam, creating a layered Puff Pastry circle.
step 6 Using a smaller circular item placed in the middle of the Puff Pastry circle, use a sharp knife to cut from the circular item outward to make 16 wedges around the circle.
step 7 Twist two of the wedges in toward each other then pinch them together to seal them shut. Repeat the twisting and sealing process with the remaining wedges to form 8 points to the snowflake.
step 8 Brush the pastry all over with egg wash. Optionally, dust with sanding sugar.
step 9 Bake at 425° Fahrenheit for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove the pastry snowflake from the oven and set it aside to cool slightly before dusting it with confectioners’ sugar and serving. Enjoy!
