Summer flew by, and somehow Fall is right around the corner! Your schedule may get crazy busy this time of year, but there’s no debating that this weather is absolutely beautiful. That’s why it’s a great time to start a fitness routine whether in doors or out that will prepare you for the holiday season. Here are some tips to help you a develop a fitness routine this fall that’s easy to stick to, no matter your lifestyle.
Enjoy the weather and get outside. The cooler weather makes it much more comfortable to exercise outdoors in comparison to the summer heat. A run through your neighborhood, taking walks through local parks or hitting up a new bike trail, the crisp air is great for your body and clearing the mind.
Plan ahead. We know how crazy everyone’s schedules are so get rid of any excuses for not being able to work out by planning ahead 🙂 If you know you have a late-night dinner with friends, wake up earlier to get to the gym. It also helps to always have a gym bag packed so if you have some spare time, you’re prepared!
Team up with family and friends. It’s easier to stay motivated when you have a partner cheering you on and working out with you. Plus, it makes your workout feel like less of a workout and fun because it’s also social.
Change up your exercise routine. It can be hard to work out a lot if you’re doing the same exact work out day after day. So switch it up! Do yoga on Monday and go for a bike ride on Tuesday. There’s nothing wrong with some variety in your routine; if anything, it keeps your week new & exciting.
Listen to your body. If you’re feeling run-down or exhausted, it’s okay to skip your workout and give your body time to rest and heal. Also, don’t feel like you can’t enjoy the foods you love because you have to diet or eat a certain way.
